The Bee-Keeper by Gene Stratton Porter

Recently, I re-read this old treasure. You can always tell if a book is a good one by the number of times you can re-read it and enjoy it. This is one of those books. The last time I read it, it was out loud to my three children who were 8, 10 and 14. That was nine years ago. I remember they were especially pleased when the bad person got what was coming to them. I love a good ending and this book has that. It was very informative about bees and even more so into the realm of human character. Truly worth the hunt if you are looking for a slice of history and humour. Happy reading.
