The Triplets

Dad had a good cow that gave birth to triplets.  They were all boys so we would not be keeping them but triplets are unusual so the local paper was called and a photographer sent out to photograph the event. We could not get the three calves to stand still for the picture, for they milled about and would not look at the camera. Someone had the bright idea to let them suck on my fingers so I was positioned between them and they began to nurse on my fingers. That is how my picture got in the paper, a little farm girl in baggy shorts and socks and three little black and white calves.
